    Wow didn't realise that it was today.

    At a risk of showing my age a bit here, Star Trek was the first TV program I saw in colour. Seeing all of those aliens and the coloured shirts of the crew was quite mind blowing. Hey this was the early 70's.

    We only had a black and white TV in 1966. I didn't see Star Trek in color until the season 3 opener (Spock's Brain) in 1968.

    Its a shame my enterprise haynes manual t-shirt did not arrive today that would have been a bit spooky. I still live by scotty's "the right tool for the right job" quote and extending the time I estimate it takes for me to do something by x2.

    Star trek is the 2nd longest running sci-fi show only bested by a certain type 40 time machine thief which aired on 30th Nov '63.
