2nd Interview

Had a interview today for a it assistant job, and it went well. The interviewer said he will recommend me to the tech guy and then i should get a 2nd interview and a show around.

Just wondering what sort of questions should be asked, and show him im interested. The company has about 150 staff and alot of computers, servers etc.

If they offer you a second interview, it means you're on the "short list" of candidates. They are trying to narrow down between you and one or two other people who will best fit the role. Often the technical quals of all the candidates will be close so they're more likely looking for who'll best fit the team and corporate culture.

All I can really say is "be yourself". It's as much a test for you as for them as far as this being a "good fit". They want to know that they won't cringe every time you come in the door and you want to know that you won't hate going to work everyday.

 

the job just came on the market today and i think i was the 1st person he interviewed, as he contacted me

so if i can impress him that much, and offers me the job the same day, thats what im looking for

 

well i got the job, the 2nd interview was more like a 1st interview, i was there for about an hour and a half

My last 2nd interview was 2 and a half hours long... which was longer than my first which came in at just over 2 hours.
