Hi,

I passed the 271 a few weeks back. I went on a course that I didn't find that great so then Used mainly MS Press Book (started reading about 1 mth before the exam), "hands on" and then for the last couple of days, other stuff.

I am finding it hard to get motivated...not really sure where to start this time. (I want to do something different to last time to keep it fun) Any advice? as time is ticking by!

Ps, I have to squeeze it into the evenings rather than weekends!!

If you want to get motivated then how about booking the exam now. That way you have a date to stick to.

EDIT: BTW you might want to stay away from that 'other stuff'.

It's just that I want to get a thorough understanding of everything like I did last time, but make it fun by learning a different way etc...

 

when you mean fun what do you mean? This is my perception is that if you learning by force to try get a job because you think it will be glory days then its no fun. If you learning because you love IT and enjoy learning more about Windows XP in this case it will be fun. JMO

And good for booking the exam... will get you motivated now!

 

I already have a fantastic job in IT and i'm happy with my salary. I am doing the exam for more confidence and to bridge the gaps in knowledge that I have!
