Oops, looks like I'm falling behind. I passed 271 2 weeks ago and haven't managed to open the book for 272 yet.

I'm definitely falling behind! I had all sorts of things planned - but severe overload at work means that they are slipping.

And it is quite likely that I'll have to drop my current set of work to get trained on something else!

But as the company should be paying for it I shouldn't complain!

    Nice one Zim

Out of curiosity what sort of questions are asked about SP2? Is it just general install and configuration stuff?

i had one or two that had to do with the security centre... the one asked about the firewall blocking... to be honest i cant remember much and it was work experience getting me through it.. used exam cram2 so i didnt do *much* studying... No review this time! :(

oh yeah TCP/IP troubleshooting... another big area...

I won’t be taking the exam for a while anyway just wanted to see if it was what I thought it was. The amount of XP machines I have set up in the last 3 weeks should be enough experience on it’s own for the security centre.

My study so to speak will be much like yours Zim, I am relying on my work experience / knowledge and will invest in the Exam Cram publications when the time comes… but at the moment it is ITIL and FAST for me.

i have spent the last month study for the 2 exams so you dont need much time... just give the books a read 2 times to refresh some stuff...

That was probably the time scale I was looking at

Just going to brush up on RIS installs and TCP/IP troubleshooting as I reckon they could be weak-ish spots, especially RIS installs as I don’t use it in everyday life.

Wanted to get the 70-271 and 70-272 nailed at about the same time so I can then properly move onto the MCSA track after my foundation ITIL is sorted, and we get the gold FAST award sorted out.
