    Hi all,

I passed both exams in one sitting yesterday with a score of 790 and 880 respectivley. I found the 601 to be slightly harder. Both took 40 mins each, my working experience and a weeks worth of refreshing nailed it.

I used Total Seminars practice tests and CBT Nuggets A+ to fill in some gaps and refresh areas I haven't touched in years.

I found that the 2006 preps all cover win2k which the 2007 exam doesn't include except for a few upgrade questions. There were no dreaded IRQ address questions in either exam.

    I hope that helps someone.

    Cheers

    Hi.

I'm gunna stick my name on this post too as I got my A+ yesterday doing both exams on the same day too. For me the 602 was much harder but the 601 was, on the whole covering the absolute basics, frustratingly though I got a better score on the 602 (830) than on the essentials (750) but like the members say here...., a pass is a pass :)

I'm not really sure if i would recommend doing both on the same day to others but if you have to travel a long way like I do to a test center it is not an impossible task to achieve.

oh and congrats to nex0r and apologies for hijacking your thread

Well done Dexter I hope to take mine shortly funding permitting. I am gonna do both on the same days as my nearest test centre is about 60 miles away.

Good luck GBL, you've certainly helped me on the forums, but I can beat you on the distance by about seventy miles :blink :)

Congrats Dexter, and don't worry a pass is a pass :biggrin

I'll be honest, I'm kinda going backwards for these exams. I've been repairing harware, including copiers/printers, for 20 years and bypassed the A+ to study MS when I needed to a few years ago. Pehaps that's why I found the 602 easier. I didn't find it more technical but then we must remember that the questions are random so it's luck of the draw on the day maybe.

Well done on the double bubble :clap
