This is entirely up to you. Some people have taken the exams on the same day, some people like myself (in 2003) waited approx 6 months between them.

I did both on the same day hwoever I reckon I would have gotten a better score in the essentials if I had a break of a month ot two inbetween.

Its upto you and wether you feel confident enough.

Due to financial constraints I had to wait about a month between the two exams (601/602). I felt the first couple of weeks were useful, but I struggled to keep focus after that. From my experience I would say that if you're ready for one, your ready for both. Leaving a week or two between them will enable you to target any weak spots thrown up in the first exam and do some more revision focussing on the 2nd exam.

I took the first on a Friday and the next on Monday (or maybe Tuesday). That way I had the weekend to sharpen up any areas I felt weak in. When you're preparing, there is SO much overlap that I think you should just prepare as if it were ONE BIG test instead of two. Then if you can afford it, don't let too much time be between them or you might lose focus as mentioned above. Good luck on it!
