2003 Server problem

I believe it is an ECS, although i will run Belark on it tonight in a mission to find the correct firmware. I was hoping to get a BIOS on floppy and see if that changes anything. Anything else anyone could suggest?

Is it just this one hard disk that isnt detected, im guessing the cdrom drive is detected ok on the IDE channels?

tried another IDE cable? do you hear the drive startup/spin up when you turn the pc on?

 

Thanks for all your help. I need my test server running as soon as i can figure out what is causing the problem. Something else i noticed last night, was that it takes ages to Post with any IDE devices plugged in.

Then Si it might be a good indication that the board is on a downward spiral

IDE controller has packed its bags....

What CPU etc.. you running on it, i might have something you could put to use?

Although i removed the CMOS battery for an hour last night, i am going to look for the Jumper clear as one last straw....
