Or stuck on a broken down Train

I once travelled home for Christmas on a train from Plymouth.
20 minutes into the journey and the train broke down.

1 hour later they finally got it going again, but that mean't I missed the connecting train and had to wait a further two hours in a cold train station. To compensate this delay they opened the buffet car on the broken down train, but still charged people the full price

The worse bit of the day was when I arrived home to find out my parents had gone to Plymouth to surprise me for Christmas and there was no one home to let me in

 

Phew - thought i had double booked! but it looks like thinks seems to be going as planned for me...

Same here I arrive at Snow Hill Train Station at 4pm then book into the thistle Hotel and meet up with SGUK for large Pint

 

Raffaz and I are on the same train down, so I'll meet up with him there.

Get into Brum at about 2pm, will have a wander around for a bit then head to hotel. Its been a while since I was in Brum, so will be nice to see if I can remember where stuff is!

 

guys - seriously, if you are planning to walk from the train station to the hotel, pack light, cuz its one hell of a walk, i reckon its like 2 mile walk. i know its not a lot but, if the weather is crap then you'll understand!
if you grabbing a cab, then it dont really matter, they prob charge around £6 pounds, there are plenty of taxi ranks around.

what time is the meal booked for?
