Ok, Month off and back to it now.
I have built a small domain (Server 2008 R2) with 1 Windows 7 Client and 1 Vista Client.

I have created a network share for Windows 7, and will be upgrading the Vista Machine to Windows 7, and installing Windows 7 onto a 3rd Machine using WinPE.

Going to go through the Messer Vids, as well as the Windows 7 Free Training. Will prob Lab through the Offiicial Windows 7 Book too. That way, I can keep my Domain for the 70-686 too.

Good stuff. When will you be taking the exam? I am hoping to get mine out of the way before classes start back. (August 25).

To be honest, I'm looking at August / September. I was thinking of waiting for the Second Shot offer (Usually in Sept), but will see how I go. Will make a start on Sunday, then try and blitz through and take it all in. Last score was 622 so cant be that far off. Are you following up with the 70-685 or 70-686?

I will probably do the 85 first, then 86 and move onto Windows 8 afterwards. I used to be in the tech industry but I accepted a job as a restaurant manager and let my certifications expire. Ive just recently started working on a certification to get back in the tech field. Havent really looked into which certification I want to take next to be honest.

    Fair point.
I like Windows 7, and think I will be moving more into deployment so the 686 seems like the ideal route.
Looking at Server 2012 after that I think.

    Hi Guys,

    just wanted some advice.
I have a AD Server setup using VMware and 2 clients. 1 Windows 7, and 1 Windows Vista all joined to the same domain.

Should that be enough for the Lab requirements? i5, 32GB of RAM and a 500GB HDD.

    Cheers
