Looks as if Microsoft have been doing some more MCITP -> MCSA upgrades.

I received my 'migration' email this morning and will soon be an MCSA: Windows 7 ! :)

This, I guess, is all part of making the current program of MCITP certs easily upgradable - the email, of course, ensures that I know about the NEW upgrade exam to MCSA: Windows 8...

Congrats to all of the new holders of the "MCSA: Windows 7" cert :biggrin

Applicable to all MCITP: EDST & EDA current holders, and I guess this explains the Cert being retired but the exams not being.

I had presumed that was the date MS are giving to all MCSA's that have been retrospectively applied.

    - - - Updated - - -

On the Transcript with, as you say, a date in April but no Cert to print/order yet.

Are MS still working on these, do you think?

I am currently studying the MCITP 70-680, will this also become MCSA after becoming certified in the near future.

Yes, when passed along with either the 685 or 686, you will currently receive both MCITP & MCSA certs.

Presumably, if either of the 2 exams are passed after July 31st 2013, only the MCSA will be gained, as the MCITP itself is being retired.

I should mention for clarification that the 680 is an MCTS exam. Which brings up a good point; we know that the MCITP is 'going' and pretty much being replaced 'en-bloc' by various MCSA certs, but what about the single exams?
They used to be MCP, now MCTS but will this also change again? Are they even going to offer 'single exam' certs after this next change?

    LOL! Yes, exactly that!!

But, of course, we know what Rob is saying.
@Rob1234 remember, it's 'just' a re-branding of the MCITP so, yes, the discussion would be about, in your case, the 680 & 685. Probably better, at this point, to only include one of MCITP/MCSA on your CV so as not to confuse things and ONLY show the MCSA after next July - guess it's the safest approach to avoid complications. Although, there's no hard-and-fast rule here...

But wouldn'nt I talk about that when they read my MCSA cert on the CV or have I missed the point and I remove the MCSA and replace it with the new MCSA Cert??

It has all changed. I noticed that I have MCSA Server 2008 but only need one exam to upgrade to MCSA Server 2012 which is a bonus.
