    Hi Guys

A friend of mine is looking to study for a database administrator leading on to systems analyst.

what would be the best route / course for him to do?

depends on the type of databases he wants to work on, and any previous experiance
if its MS SQL (relational database using the transact SQL language) then an MCDBA would be right up his street

bear in mind SQL and its exams are moving to 2005 this september, so he may want to get his hands dirty and start with SQL 2005 if this is going to be his first foray into DBAing,
