Thumbs up 70 - 270 or 70 - 620 First.

Hi all,

Which exam would you do first. I work in IT for SAP so i can find my way around both OS's without a blindfold... Which would you do first.. Also i've always had an issue with how much you need to know the info i.e. should you know the specs exactly for vista with and without Aero and the differance between every version.

Thanks

If you can work blindfolded on both OS's it doesn't really matter which one you do first, both are client exams.

As for what, or how indepth the exam goes, I can't say... As the NDA that we agree to stops us. However take a look at Microsoft's site:

70-620
70-270

Hey, thanks for the reply.... Obviously i wasn'ting to be told what is going to come up and i know both are client exams but since i have purchased both books after the last few years and for xp i'm talking both the orginal 70-270 in the wine and white and the new 2nd revision. That's how long i've been "studying" for the certs.

I think i will begin with 70-270 as i've bought that book twice . how long did you guys study for it.

I would say it would depend on which would be most benificial inyour currect job. E.g in my work place we have mostly XP machines so i done the 70-270.

I studied for about 5 months for 70-270 but this was my first microsoft exam and only have a years experience in IT. So you may well be quicker depending on your experience.

Having done both, I would suggest doing the 620 first if you know your way around Vista. 270 is a 'pig' by comparison. And I would add that I have been using, installing, configuring and so on on XP for years.

Best of luck whichever you decide to take first.
