two down in two weeks
and two to go!, lots of twos!
realistically i wont be starting the next one till the new year, gonna actually enjoy my month in the states!
bloody exam crashed twice on the Sims and I had to redo the sims each time, doh!
that and the sytems QA use have got to be the slowest I have seen, 10 - 20 seconds between question changes.. talk about breaking the 'zone' every click!
I feel this exam had some shockingly poor questions, the wording was seriously coming into question, and I don't think making the question difficult to read really weeds out the crap people from the good, just get the point across in two bloody lines and get on with it
oh well, maybe MS will learn ;)
The exam center also had issue with my ID as I had my drivers license and a credit card that did not have a signiture on the back, they said they needed two proofs of signiture (wtf?) I kindly asked them how having my signiture more than once would make ANY difference considering i had just signed three bits of paper for them, then they tried to say 'its only a provisional license' haha i was like 'and? since when did I need to LEARN to drive to use my license as ID ffs?' anyway a quick call to prometric had them back in line, they were perfectly acceptable forms of ID, I said the the poor receptionist afterwards, I'm all for more stringent measures to ID candidates, but A) make it clearly known before hand, and b) don't **** me about with pseudo security, two signatures != verifiable ID
Congrats mate and have a good break over there in the US
BTW, have you ever had a twinkie? Lately I've been having cravings for things I use to eat as a kid out there, like Reese's Peanut butter cups & beef jerky - both which I can find over here. But the one thing I can't find in the UK are twinkies. If you get a chance, try one or two

ps... I love Reeses! and York peppermint patties hehe..
not a big fan of jerky though, go figure
When I took the PDI+ beta exam I took my driving license and a document I had to sign from my solicitors. The bloke wasn't bothered and just looked at the photo part of my driving license and gave the counterpart bit to some bird called Inga to photo copy.

I'm state side for a month over Christmas new years
Nampa ID primarily with a side trip to Seattle, WA and Portland, OR. Possibly heading to NYC NY for NYE (that's a mouthful eh?) not looking that promising with the cost of flights at the moment hehe
Seattle's a cool city--- very laid back. Hope you like coffee. Aside from the usual city sites, try to make it to Mount St. Helens:
and I know you'll have the camera in tow. Portland's got some great shots too, but make sure you get to the beaches -- the pile of driftwood that's there is the size of a small mountain (at least on the WA coast).
Upstate NY is nice for cameras, but the city ain't. However, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better place in the WORLD to eat. Seriously. I don't know if you like crowds, but NYE is a madhouse there, although some nice hotel/feast/party deals are around -- just bring lotsa cash. Luckily (for you, not so much for us) there hasn't been a better time for you to come here, what with the dollar being what it is.
Not going to D.C.? Some excellent photos to be had there.

Hey Ding Dongs, I haven't seen them for about 15 years
Ahhhh, if you're heading out to NYC, I don't know if they're still there, but check out Papaya King. I use to grab lunch there when ever I as in the neighbourhood (use to live in Queens, NYC before moving to SF).
