Wink Outlook contacts, dialing rules and a blackberry

Afternoon all,
Having a bit of a battle with the above, I'm trying to get the dial from outlook function working and have had mixed success. I can't seem to get the right format of the phonenumbers so it doesn't break outlook dialing or the BB.

At the start I had my numbers just as I would dial them 01412344567 in outlook (with a dialing rule to dial 9 for local and long)

Outlook - Didn't add the 9 on dialing
BB Calls - Worked as expected
BB SMS - Worked as expected

So after a bit of digging I came across a website telling me I needed to format the number like so
+44 01412344567

Outlook - Worked as expected
BB Calls - Worked as expected (dialed the number as +441412344567)
BB SMS - Didn't work (tried to send the message to +44 01412344567)

Other formats that I tried where

+44 (0141) 234-4567 - BB didn't like that at all
&
+44 1412344567 - Outlook Dialed 9 1412344567

All I want is for outlook to dial 9 on all calls, I remember having to do this on a win98 box a long time ago and it worked as expected just can't get it going on Windows 7 RC w/ Outlook 2007.

Yeah as UKD - in Control Panel go to your modem / dialling options and configure your area?

If you've done that, try the format

+44 (0) 141 XXX XXXX

Think you can also add the 9 prefix in there somewhere too but it's been some time since I've had to configure a modem !

Lol, we still have some modems kicking about for the useless telepay system, unfortunately outlook uses the windows dialer, We are using a program called Activa to forward the input to asterisk

Aah right. We did mess around with an asterisk server at one point but as we were only a small office we went with a Centrex solution.

Think I've got it, bit of a messed up way though

Format :

(0) 1411234567 or (0) 7543554433

Dialing rule

General
Area Code - 0
Dail 9 for local and long

Area code rule
Area code - 0
Include all prefixes
ticked "dial:" to add the zero it removes from the area code grrr
ticked "included area code"

Outlook - works
BB Call - works
BB SMS - works

need to test a little more though just to make sure

Try putting a comma after the 9 - I think this creates a pause while it picks up the outside line from memory

I think i misread

put in

141 area

XXX XXXX number

UK

then in location under dialling rule enter 9 for long distance (if the number doesn't share same area code)

select location

you will find that when location (dialling rules) is set to UK it will dial

9 0141XXX XXXX

if you change same location (in dialling rules agian) to US (just to show you the changes)

number will be changed

9 011 44 141XXX XXXX

again this is correct
