Hello to all....
Hi everyone

Just signed up on here and have to say its a fantastic forum and I've already found tons of useful information - thank you.
I've finally decided to get out of my dead end job and start using my brain again so I'm now on the IT trail of getting qualified. Its been interesting to read the threads on TP's vs self study, very useful too. I had pretty much decided to go the serlf study route, mainly because I dont see the point of spending unneccessary cash and also because imo its much more rewarding. I have listened to a few TP reps and while they sound good, its my experience that if something sounds too good to be true then there's something not quite right. I'm not saying they wouldn't work for me, but if i can do the same on my own at a fraction of the cost....GREAT!

Zimbo's thread on self study was particularly useful....many thanks.

Hopefully you'll be seeing me round here quite a bit and I look forward to contributing where I can.

Good idea to self study, you can't rip yourself off plus its an achievment you can put on your cv and if I were an employer I would be more impressed with someone who had the determination to study on their own instead of someone who used a TP.

You will also save yourself a ton of cash.
