Deploying XP and 7 with MDT 2010

Just wondered whether anyone uses MDT 2010 to deploy both XP and Windows 7. Did anyone have any issues with WAIC 2.0 and XP? What is your experiences with MDT 2010?

I'd just use WDS instead mate. I find it much better and less hassle.

Passed: 271,272,680,682,621,640,642, PRINCE2 F, ITILv3 F
Or for easier reading, the below:
MCP, MCDST, MCITP:EST, MCITP:EST7, MCTS

WIP for 2010: 290,291,293,294,298,351,643,646,647,686
Or for easier reading, the below:
MCSA:S, MCSE:S, MCITP:EA, MCITP:SA and MCITP:EDA

No I don't expect to get anywhere near that, but a target is a target

agree,

Xp there are issues. Scripts are the only way i see to get around the issues (HAL and Mass storage drivers)
I have it working in theory and do plan to try in a production environment soon.

I would be interested as well.

Maybe SimonD could do a small write up how to use MDT to deploy Vista as from what I see only 7 is documented in MDT help file. (hint)

Thanks

I will work on something over the next couple of days, we need to get the documentation updated at work anyway (I should add that as far as MDT goes, we only used it until our SCCM was SP2'd, however it's fairly straight forward).

Let me get something organised at home in the way of an MDT solution and I will write a guide up.
