Re-Taking network +

So comptia exams have been brought into line with other vendors - if you've gone from network + and got your ccna - would u re-take you network + ?

Nope. I'd concentrate on ensuring I spent my hard earned cash and study time on retaking my CCNA at the appropriate time, and possibly buying some extra kit for the likes of CCNP.

If you read my thread on the Comptia Certification Renewal policy, you'll see that there is a certification renewal program where you don't have to resit an exam.

Quote:
Can I keep my certification current without taking a new exam?
Yes. Our certification renewal program includes a continuing education component that allows eligible individuals to renew their certifications by earning continuing education credits.
Quote:
What types of activities are eligible for continuing education credits?
Among activities that will qualify for continuing education credits are passing a “bridge” exam or the most current exam for their CompTIA certification; teaching, lecturing or presenting on relevant industry topics; participating in non-degree courses or computer-based training; attending relevant industry conferences and events; participating in a CompTIA exam development workshop; publishing articles, whitepapers, blogs or books on relevant topics; obtaining other industry certifications; or completing industry-related college courses from degree-granting institutions.
More details to follow on the exact in's and out's mid-2010.

Personally, since I alway do continuing development, I would only renew my Comptia certs if the things that I do is acceptable - I wouldn't go out of my way to do it as it's not compulsory for my job role.
