Sharepoint - enabling server-side scripting

Hi,

I'm trying to enable scripting on our Sharepoint site by modifying the web.config file as per the instructions in this article.

Now when I try to load a page I receive the following error:

Quote:
An unexpected error has occurred.

Web Parts Maintenance Page: If you have permission, you can use this page to temporarily disable Web Parts or remove personal settings. For more information, contact your site administrator.

Troubleshoot issues with Windows SharePoint Services.
I have attached a copy of the configuration file in the hope that someone can point out where I'm going wrong.

I look forward to your replies.

Kind regards,

Alex

Don't really know anything about sharepoint, but have you checked to see if Server Side Scripting is enabled in the IIS settings? I would assume that if the IIS Host for the Sharepoint site has server side scripting disabled, that would cause an issue.

Also, have you confirmed that the server side scripting you are attempting to execute actually works? An Unexpected error really tells you nothing about where the error is occurring.

You appear to be missing the IncludeSubFolders property. I assume (from the implications on the website referenced), that webparts are not stored in the root folder, but rather in a subdirectory. Therefore I doubt the settings would apply as is.
