whats the difference with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle SQL ??

A bit bias, but here's a comparison chart.

From a non-DBA point of view and comparing SQL 2005 to an older version of Oracle (from my last place about 5 years ago): The interface of MS SQL is alot nicer/easier, plus it's a alot nicer and easier to install. However that may not be a fair comment as I've worked with and install far more MS SQL systems than Oracle systems...
