Sharepoint Exams?
Are there any MS exams which cover sharepoint as part of the objectives?

I had a quick look, but couldn't see any real reference to it.

Hopefully someone will know without me having to trawl through objective after objective!

Hi Mate,

There are several exam with/on sharepoint:

Exam 70-630: TS: Configuring Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
Exam 70-631: Configuring Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0
Exam 74-132: Designing a Portal Solution with Microsoft® SharePoint® Products and Technologies
Exam 74-133: Customizing Portal Solutions with Microsoft® SharePoint® Products and Technologies

Apparently the Exam 70-300: Analyzing Requirements and Defining Solution Architectures for Microsoft .NET is reported to have bits of sharepoint in, but only a little bit.

The SP courseware is not out for a while though as far as i recall

So far alot of the sharepoint courses are instructor led:

http://www.microsoft.com/Learning/tr...seResults.aspx (search for sharepoint), the only one that is elearning is this one: https://www.microsoftelearning.com/e...courseId=61966 - Clinic 5046: Inside Look at Building and Developing Solutions with Microsoft® Office SharePoint® Server 2007, and even that is only 2 hours (but it is free).

Courses & courseware for sharepoint are very sparse

I have done quite a bit of Sharepoit Services at work with creating an internal team website for our 3rd line support team - and to be quite honest, Sharepoint Services is really very self explanatory - having a quick go installing it and playing with the limited functionality really is not going to tax your learning skills at all.

Sharepoint Portal is a different story - lots to it, and I can imagine the exam would be a real mother...

If you do decide to wing it - would love to hear your opinions on the content of the exam Tripwire

Theres no shortage of sharepoint books around now.

I've since decided not to bother with sharepoint certs, I've also currently stopped doing portal work after around 4 years of mainly portal development.

Doesnt a lot of sharepoint work heavy rely on knowing on SQL server, .NET, VB and powershell ?
