MCDST Passed

I passed my MCDST, (70-272)June 26 and (70-271)June 29, gap over the weekend.

I must say I have found it to be very fascinating and challenging. The exams itself are a bit tricky but managed to get through them with flying colours. A lot of the questions are networking, domains and share permission on 70-271. The 70-272 covers a lot of IE, Remote Desktop and ICF.

I have used Sybex MCDST book, CBT Nuggets videos and lots of practice questions. The CBT Nuggets are what exactly they are, GOLD. The video author is superb and gets you down to business. It is also nice to see the demos from the videos and it gives you the perspective on what the subject is about.

Now I need a break for a few weeks and then study for Network+. Target is September/October 2009. Although I hate network protocols, I understand I need to study for it to get know more about the subject.

Thank you everyone for all the valuable info on this website. A truly great resource for advice, knowledge and preparations for IT Certifications.

Congrats.

Personally, I was dreading the N+ because network stuff seemed boring.
Much to my surprise, I liked it.
I hated the OS parts of the A+.
I'm enjoying the 70-271 objectives so far.

Go figure!
Then let me know cos I'm ****ed if I do.
