Can someone tell me how to disable Zonealarm and Enable
Windows XP Firewall as this maybe a solution to my computer problem.

Also sometimes the computer won't finish loading Windows even in safe mode. Does anyone have any suggestions.

    Prof,
Right click it in your task bar and it will give you a couple of options including shutting down zone alarm. However, you don't want to shut it down you want to totally remove it. Even though you shut it down there could still be drivers working in the back ground that will fight like hell with XP firewall. Drivers are just sneaky buggers like that.

Tell me prof did you ever get the trojan removed from your manchine in april?

You could just remove ZA using the Windows Add/Remove Programs utility. If that turns out not to be the problem and you want it back, you probably originally downloaded ZA into a folder somewhere and you can just reinstall it from the download. I agree with Mitzs. You seem to be attacking the problem with a shotgun approach. If you still have lingering malware on your machine you might never get it to work right until you get that stuff out.
