Does anyone know how to test whether these UPS work or not?
    Apparantly they were working before...
1 is a battery pack and other looks like the UPS itself, i've always thought the battery pack would go inside it...
The UPS is meant to have some flashing light appearing when turned on, but thats all the info i have unfortunately...

I haven't got my hands on them as yet, and there are no manuals/cd's either...

    Thanks

    APC are excellent imho.

    Product details are here :

    http://www.apc.com/resource/include/techspec_index.cfm?base_sku=SU1000XLI

    That model is now discontinued.

If you can't find what you want from the link, just contact them, I'm sure they'll help you out.

Not sure if you need the extra battery pack for that UPS to be honest.

As for testing there is a self test button on the UPS and also a load status LED at the left hand side, do you know what you are going to run off the UPS yet?

You can get free software from the APC site for monitoring so if you can get a USB or serial connection into the UPS you configure email alerts etc.

Is there a plug round the back of the 1000 UPS for it? Just checked the APC website and you should be able to daisy chain multiple batteries together, I hadnt seen them in that format before only in rack mountable ones and they are very heavy! :biggrin
