Must have missed something - cant remember having this issue in the past.

Exchange 2007 installed on 64 bit SBS 2008.
Exchange management console installed on 32 bit desktop using Outlook 2007.
Account running command member of the Exchange admin group.

    export-mailbox -Identity useraccount -PSTFolderPath C:\pst\useraccount.pst

    generates the following error:

[PS] C:\>export-mailbox -Identity useraccount -PSTFolderPath C:\pst\useraccount.pst
Export-Mailbox : A parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name 'PSTFo
    lderPath'.

The command looks right to me mate.

What happens if you run it on the SBS Box?

Also what happens if you try and export another users account or a test user?

    thanks for the input guys

GD - may have to go down that route.

Craigie - can't run it on the sbs box mate - it's 64 bit and it's the same result for all mailboxes.

I'll let you know what happens. Cheers.

Eh, I have never ran the command myself, but your saying that the command has to be run on a 32Bit OS to work?

Boycie - is the server running SP1? AFAIK, the export function wasn't implemented in the original release of Exchange 2K7 - you need to be on SP1 to use it.

Did you get this working Boycie? Done loads of exports/imports in Exchange 2007 this way. Aren't you missing the " " around the path, so :

    export-mailbox -Identity useraccount -PSTFolderPath "C:\pst\useraccount.pst"

The whole import\export thing only really starting working 100% in SP2!!! Even after a import that reported a success there was FA email imported.

Bring back exmerge I say... :biggrin

sorry for not posting back guys. whilst on-site i reinstalled the exchange management service pack, re-ran the export command and it worked!

PaulC - dont think it needed the quotes mate.

Sparky - exmerge was a lot easier, albeit less powerful.

    cheers.

Exchange powershell are totally meant for 32 bit PC, on 64 bit pc its not supported. As well as, before running export-mailbox command, user must logged in with full access rights. For any corrupted edb file or in dirty shutdown state the situation is slightly different and the entire mailbox export process is quiet time taking. Even then, its possible to export multiple Exchange 2007 mailboxes into outlook pst files without exchange server from any corrupt edb files by using <snip> nae spam here! </snip> because it requires some specialized ways as explained.
